Hello,
In the CMDB service tables, I have services with parent–child relationships defined through the Parent field.
I want to add three filters to a dashboard:
Filter 1: show all services with no parent
Filter 2: show the services whose parent is the service selected in Filter 1
Filter 3: show the services whose parent is the service selected in Filter 2
For all filters, I set Filter Source to the cmdb_ci_service table, without selecting any specific field.
I have not found a way to make the second filter dependent on the first one.
In the second filter, under Follow other filter, I cannot find the first filter in the list Filters with table connection. I only find it under the list Directly connected filters, but when I enable this option, the second filter shows only the value selected in the first filter, not the child services of the selected value.
Can anyone please help?
Thank you,
Valentina

Hi @valesky
I have not found a way to make the second filter dependent on the first one.
This is a platform limitation as of now. When we add a fields, it behaves like an independent field and not the same way we use fields on a form. Therefore, this cannot be achieved and is not possible with the current platform design.

Thanks for your reply
I see that in other cases work, i have other 2 filters, one on the groups table and one on the users table, and I can set in the second filter to follow the first filter because it is in the list "Filter with table connections", and in this way it works.
But for my case with filters on the cndb service table I don't have this option
Thank you
