Dear All, what could be the reason ?User reported ServiceNow dashboard visibility issue for business users. Business users are able to see only tickets logged by themselves, not all business. Thanks !

Hi @pramn 

 

  • Ensure the reports are explicitly shared with the business users or the role assigned to them.
  • Ensure business users have permission to read records outside their own. Ensure that the roles required to view all records are assigned, or add the relevant roles (like  itil or a custom business user role) to the ACLs
  • Most tables in ServiceNow have default query business rules that restrict standard users from seeing records where they are not the caller or opener.  e.g for incident - incident query BR is there.

Just try and test once  either deactivated or modified to allow business users to read broader records conditionally.

Hi @pramn 

 

based on your description it sounds like the business user doesn’t have appropriate role. To see data in a report, the user needs one / several roles to see the underlying data.
