Reporting - Chart Data Labels - Change Font?

Hi,

Is there a way to change the background font for chart data labels? There is a white background occuring on the data label font which is making various charts (Bar, etc) difficult to read if the data label overlaps with the bar itself.

Example below (This is Kingston):
1. Occurs on my companies ServiceNow Kingston Instance.
2. Also occurs on my Kingston Personal Dev Instance.

I've looked through the various Reporting Admin functions and could not find a feature to resolve this. I've tried changing chart colors, palette's, etc. Report set to show 'Data labels in the middle' for purposes of demonstration, most of my charts do not show it in the middle however depending on bar length it'll sometimes overlap the bar itself.

I don't believe so. I wasn't able to find a way to do this and have the same issue with the labels sometimes appearing on top of the columns and being hard to read. I've ended up not using the data labels most of the time and just go with the hover over for the counts.

What if you uncheck 'Display data labels in the middle'?

Doesn't help unfortunately, I selected that just to show off the effect. Otherwise the numbers appear outside the bars, but sometimes if the bar takes up a lot of the chart the number still gets thrown into the colored bar.

Oh well, was hoping there was a way to fix this. Thanks for checking.

I have that same issue. I try to choose a color palette that is light in nature to avoid this problem, but then some of the bars are practically invisible.

BTW, I believe I have a report admin role, yet I don't have those additional "data labels in middle" and "...overlap" features available in Jakarta.

Has this been fixed recently or is there still no solution to change a report font?
