Reports: can dot-walk "Group by" but not "Additional group by"

Hi forum,

I can't figure this out. When creating a report (pie chart) based on task_sla table, I am able to choose Group by and dot-walk to Task > Incident > Priority (first screenshot). However, I can't do the same from Additional group by (second screenshot). I've tried also from a PDI which is completely OOB. Can anyone explain what's going on?

many thanks in advance  /Tommy

You should be able to. Click on the reference field you want to dot walk. When you do, you will see the icon show up above the arrows, to show the related fields. See the screenshot below.

Task fields will appear.

Hi Bahier,

thanks for your reply, but I have already expanded to show the Task fields in my second screenshot. However, Incident doesn't appear in the list, please check to see for yourself. It does, however, appear in the first dot-walked screenshot, starting from Group by.

cheers  /Tommy

Scroll to the bottom of the list when you have task fields expanded, it should show underneath "show extended fields"... You may have to click to expand.

It's not a pretty list but you will be able to find whatever field from the incident you want to group by. For example below in the additional group builder, I am grouping by a choice field on the incident field I created labeled test.

if you don't see the fields from the child tables check "glide.ui.list.allow_extended_fields" in your system properties if it's set to true.

Hi bahier,

thanks for your reply, but I can NOT find Incident among the Task fields or the extended fields - that's what the issue is. If you can find it in your instance, can you please show me? That is, specifically Task > Incident > Priority. I just can't find it!

thx  /Tommy
