[Software Asset Management] Constantly showing start/end date

Hi Community,

I would like to constantly show the start/end date on the software entitlement form, which for OOTB is only shown when the license type is subscription or maintenance, and so on.

I was wondering if there are any impacts to the function/ dashboard if the start/end date is constantly showing by changing the client script?

That depends on what you are showing on the dashboard. It will not show anything because of you putting the field on the form for any type, but if you are filling it on types that normally don't have that field on the form and your reports or filters are set to validate on that field being filled or not, the other types will also show up.

Function-wise, would you happen to know if anything will be affected? Are there any issues from changing this client script?

I am not clear on your question. Your client script is showing things on the form and has nothing to do with reporting. I can't give you any other answer than I already did two weeks ago. It depends what you are showing on the dashboard. Your client script will show fields that aren't necessary on the form, but can now be filled. If that happens, it will show on your dashboard if you show those fields. How do you expect a client script on a form to change a dashboard?

I was wondering how changing the client script may impact on the form. If there are no impacts by always showing the start/ end date, that is not an issue. 

With regards to reports, I was thinking maybe changing the client script may have an impact the reports related to subscription (if there are any) when the values are filled (as OOTB client script only shows start/ end date only when license type is subscription)
