Volatile Scores in visualizations

Hello Team,
One of the weird things I have experienced in servicenow platform analytics, is that the scores on visualizations are volatile, which means even if there is data in scores table, sometimes it shows "no data" on visualizations. And once I refresh, or edit the indicator in configuration section and apply, then the scores show up again. Some of the scores are from formula indicators. what could be the possible reason of these scores being unstable?
1) does it have something to do with formula indicators?
2) does it have something to do with the type of visualization, for eg: pivot table?
How do I fix it? thanks in advance!
