Why can't I edit a dashboard widget that contains a report based on a database view

Hi All Knowing People!

I have created a report based on a database view.

I have added the report to a dashboard.

I want to edit the tile / widget / report that was created when adding the report to the dashboard.

Ordinarily, one would click on the "pencil" icon present in the top right corner of the tile to edit the report.

There is no pencil, so the report cannot be accessed from the tile for editing, unlike others just based on tables.

To edit the report, I have to go to the Report Module and View / Run to edit the report.

Why is this and how can it be resolved so that the "pencil" icon is present?

Thanks

Kieron

I would put a case in on HI.  I haven't seen this behavior before, not sure what would cause it since the pencil is determined based on if you have access to the report, not the underlying data.  Any errors in the browser console?

Thanks Adam, I don't see any errors that would overtly suggest anything untoward. Depending on browser (Chrome or Edge), console messages do differ.

I do have access to the report and the dashboard - as I am creator.

Also, the report was predefined within the Report Module, before being added to the dashboard - in other words, the report was not created from within the dashboard using the "New Report" option when adding widgets.

I have requested a HI ticket, so I'll see what occurs there.
