Hello Developers,
I was reviewing the post titled "ServiceNow Password Policies – A Complete Guide for Admins".
I would like to understand which users will be affected when a new password policy is implemented. Specifically, could you please clarify whether all user groups will be impacted by this change?
Additionally, I would like to know if WSAO users will also be affected by the new password policy update.
Thank you in advance for your guidance.
Regards,
Mayur Patil

User who has inline password in User (sys_user) table ( including integration user account where admin sets password for basis auth) , they will be impacted.
If you are using 3rd party authentication like Okta etc , those users will not be impacted.

Generally for WASO you can exclude them from your password policy (WASO = true), from an architecture standpoint I would define the scope as 'Interactive users only. Web Service Access Only accounts, integration users, MID Server users, and service accounts are excluded.'
