In this Process Mining Academy session we walk you through how to analyze requested items that have multiple tasks tied to them, and how to configure your process mining project so you can see exactly which task is causing the delay. Whether it's an approval step, a fulfillment task, or a hidden hop between teams, the real bottleneck on a multi-task request isn't always where you'd guess. This session shows you how to get task-level visibility instead of defaulting to blame on the approval step.
The session covers the Request Management hierarchy from request down to catalog task, walks through the most common patterns process mining surfaces on request processes (approval bottlenecks, rejections, multi hop reassignments, and automation candidates), and then gets hands on with two different ways to configure a project so you can see task level detail without losing the context of the overall requested item. We also tie it back to why a clean, well understood service catalog matters more than ever as more of you deploy AI agents against these same workflows.
