MFA - Email Verification

Sruthi17

I've created a new user account in ServiceNow.

I've ensured email is associated with it

I set the password as admin and try local login

I'm successfully logged in

Now I'm redirected to the MFA page

I try email verification

But I cannot see any outbound emails sending the verification code.

Can anyone help me understand what I'm missing?

@Sruthi17

is this for your PDI?

By default email sending and receiving is disabled in PDI.

Use Authenticator app to use MFA, login and then enable email sending and receiving for your PDI

@Ankur Bawiskar , this is not my PDI. This is my Dev instance

Yes, the email sending option is disabled in the email properties. However, I expect to see the email in the sys_email table. But I don't see any email triggered

Hi @Sruthi17

You should navigate to System Properties > Email Properties.

Then you tick the two boxes Email sending enabled and Email receiving enabled because they are disabled by default.
