Hello,
Has anyone integrated Snow Software with ServiceNow? If so, have you seen any good benefits? Looking for use cases that this integration has helped.
PS - One of my customer has already purchased Snow software and had left the organization. No one else knows why this was chosen over Discovery/SAM Pro.
Thanks in advance.

Difficult question to answer about on why someone thought and went ahead and purchased it.
We implemented SAM for one of the biggest university in Australia and there were similar discussion which took place which tool to go with Flexera, ServiceNow SAM or the SNOW Software.
And we went ahead as already mentioned before with SAM pro as it so easily integrate within the platform with other modules.
I would also echo what other experts have mentioned that do not Integrate and reconsider the decision on tool evaluation again.

"One of my customer has already purchased Snow software and had left the organization. No one else knows why this was chosen over Discovery/SAM Pro."
If nobody knows why it was purchased or what outcome they were hoping for that justified the spend, I would NOT step foot in that quagmire. You might as well ask "What are the benefits of integrating with this app which nobody understands, wants, or uses". If it hasn't been implemented, and the org has no understanding of teh value its CURRENTLY providing, its a lost cause. DO NOT INTEGRATE.

A previous company I was with used the Flexera product instead of ServiceNow SAM Pro. This was because the BDNA database has been around quite a bit longer and had more long-term data (especially in the healthcare industry where I was working).
If the customer hasn't really invested the time in configuring/using SNOW, then I would suggest they try and get some money back and go all-in on the ServiceNow SAM Pro.

Hi Suggy,
Does the customer pay for SAMP already? I'm unclear if the question is more around app rationalization and consolidation or integrate SNOW to ServiceNow in pursuit of some sort of benefit. If they customer already owns SAMP and SNOW, it's a matter of owning two software products that are both in the top right of gartner's magic quadrant.
Flexera and SNOW software are hard to beat, purpose build point solutions in the SAM space. Best of the best. ServiceNow is the new kid on the block and brings the power of the whole platform along with it.
The integrations I have seen with SNOW focus more on enabling the ServiceNow Service Catalog to be the point of request and automated fulfillment of software for employees. For this use case, automatically creating models, shell entitlements and user allocations to have the underpinning data to know if there are more licenses available and if that user already has an allocation to that software product. This was back before SAMP when Software Asset Managers would rarely use ServiceNow to do an effective license position and have faith in it.

Now all that I am looking for is, how this integration can help the customer.. some use cases.
PS - I have worked on Discovery + SCCM + SAMP and know the full benefits and uses cases.
But with SNOW + ServiceNow, I am thinking what all can be done. (I see that ServiceNow will be point of request for a software request based on OOB integration provided by Snow), but anything else can be done?
