Blog3_TM: SAM - Import M365 User Subscriptions is not pulling any data and getting a status "Failed"

Issue Statement : You have Software Asset Management - SaaS License Management with version 15.0.8

Now if you correctly configure  Microsoft 365 integration profile  and post that when you run the Import M365 User Subscriptions job , you can see status is failing.

 

Probable cause:

Previously, configuring Power BI was optional and did not impact other functionalities.

In the current release, if the Power BI API call fails during validation—even when Power BI is not configured—the system treats it as a complete validation failure. This blocks the execution of all activity-related jobs.

 

Workaround:  Log a case to you ServiceNow vendor . They will share a update set xml ( which will update OOB script include : SampO365Admin).. import it into your instance and job will run fine.

 

Permanent Fix : As per ServiceNow , It would be fixed in future release.
