How Active Install Field on software installation records will be marked as False if computers CI'S only get discovered through SCCM

Hello Experts,
We have Service graph connector SCCM(SG-SCCM) discovery source to discover software installation records on Computer/Laptop CI.I want to know how active install field will get change from True to False in below scenario :
In this case SCCM has discovered 3 different records for same Normalized Product on same machine, out of of these three system has kept only one record as true and marked rest two records as false. As per our knowledge, only the record with active install as true will be considered for reconciliation which is fine and understandable.
In second scenario on same machine, system has kept both records with Active Install status as True. But normalized product of both records is same. Why system didn't marked one record as false? And how this active install process works if installations are getting discovered only through SG-SCCM. Please let us know your valuable comments

The below thread talks about the software deduplication jobs running in the background. I don't know the answer to your second question of why active duplicates remain for the same machine and same SW product. Seeing that you are at Quebec, I'd look at upgrading ASAP as their has been lots of work by ServiceNow in later releases on the duplicate remediation.
