How do I script a Custom License Metric for single user license to 4 devices in Tokyo?

I am trying to find a good tutorial for scripting the calculation for a single user license to 4 devices.   Now before anyone says "why do you want to do that?"  please know that I am really only interested in the learning experience here of how to script a calculation like that and how it interacts with the software model and entitlements.  I have looked at almost all other questions posted in the communities related to Custom License Metrics,   all of the provided sample calculation scripts,  a  SAM Import entitlement white paper,  and most of the YouTube videos that have some obscure reference to these metrics.   I am still coming up short on how exactly to script this and a good explanation of how that all  works together.    I'm sure this is simple to many if not most,   but without good documentation about how exactly the license metrics are used its hard for a newbie to figure out.   Can anyone Please help!

Hi mjchris,  There's no need to create a custom metric for this. "Per User" license metric already exists, you need to change the metric attribute value on the software model to "4" to cover 4 devices for each license.   Click on the "Maximum installs per right" under the Attribute column  Make sure the "Attribute value is unlimited" box is NOT checked.  Below is an example only and Techsmith allows 2 installs per user.
