I have not tested this myself but I have been told that some Android-based scanners support the Mobile Agent application.

How do we configure our barcode scanner instead of Mobile? What will be steps to perform the scan.

Barcode scanning can only be done via mobile app (because it needs a camera) and it is also a built-in OOB feature of ServiceNow HAM module.

Did you ever get this working? I have the same requirement now and it seems all the responses are saying to use the mobile app with HAM, but that costs money.

Hello. My organization has a need to use barcode scanners (not the mobile phone) for scanning IT Asset barcodes. Currently we are just using ITSM Asset Management but plan to implement HAM soon. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this?
