Hi
What is the use of the field 'Ignore installs' on the Software product form. How will it work.

Selecting "ignore installs" in the custom software product will make it so on-premise installs of the product won't be counted. This checkbox is to be used for SaaS software where users or another metric is counted and is not based on the device where it's installed.

Even I thought the same but just wanted confirmation as this was not documented anywhere.

Hi Alex, I have a similar scenario for the product LastPass, and many others. It is a subscription software that will reconcile against the Software Subscriptions table. I don't want the on-prem installs to be counted, however, the OOTB software product does not have 'ignore installs' ticked. So, in the license workbench, some installs will be unlicensed and be Not Compliant. Is there a way to change this?
Scenario: Joe Bloggs used to have a LastPass subscription and installed the on-prem software. He stopped using it, so his subscription has now been reclaimed, but the installed software remains on their device. The License workbench will mark this install as Not Compliant, even though anyone can install the software, just not be able to log in.
Main question: How best to manage SaaS software that also has on-prem installations, where we can have unlimited installs?
