issue - CI not created from Asset

Hi everybody,

I need to create a CI on the "cmdb_ci_handheld_computing" table automatically when a Harware Asset is created.

To do this, I followed the following steps:

- I created a product model
- I created a model category with CI Class "cmdb_ci_handheld_computing"
- I bound the model category to the product model
(please see the attached screenshots)

However, when I try to create the asset neither the Asset nor the CI are created and I get the following error:

- Error: CMDB Identification Error occured during creation of CI.

Can anyone please help?

If you have ensured a model category exists (to link the asset class to the CI class), a corresponding CI should have been created without error. Does it make a difference if you define the Parent Category under which "Mobile Device Test" model category was created, or by populating the Product Model class? Shooting in the dark here, as I cannot see any other reason why it gives you an error. If populating those values doesn't work either, I recommend opening up a support ticket.
