Modification in Software Sourcing Task (SAM Pro)

Hi All,

Attached is the screenshot of Software Asset Source Task (Out of the box in SAM Pro).

I have to modify this "Purchase" interface and need to make "Stockroom" field as read-only (non-mandatory)

Need help to understand where and what changes I need to do for this

Hi @Vaibhav Sharma1 ,

   Instead of this customization, for all the SAM activities, create one stockroom and you can select this stockroom when sourcing the request. Once you start customizing it, the clients will ask more and more customizations, and it is not best practice to customize the existing functionality.

I do agree, if I do so and I want to auto select a dummy stockroom for Software requests, can you give some inputs where I can find the configuration of this interface. So that I can try to apply a simple BR just to autp replicate a stockroom value

Hi @Vaibhav Sharma1 ,

   You can create a dummy stockroom by navigating to Stockroom > create new. You can select this stockroom while sourcing the request. I think BR wont help because the screen that opens is not any table, its more of Ui page type - Interceptors, there you might need to customize it.
