Raising HI Case for Adding Custom PPNs Without SAM Pro Subscription

I have a question regarding Software Asset Management Pro (SAM Pro) in ServiceNow.

Our organization has not yet activated/purchased the SAM Pro subscription, but we need to add custom Publisher Part Numbers (PPNs) to the Content Service. I want to know:

  1. Can we raise a HI case from the Content Portal for adding custom PPNs even if we don’t have an active SAM Pro subscription?

  2. Are there any limitations or restrictions for submitting such requests without SAM Pro?

  3. If the portal doesn’t allow it, is there an alternate way to request the addition of custom PPNs?

Any guidance, best practices, or reference to official documentation would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Rhagesh,

you can try it, not sure if the access to the automation is linked with the customer licenses.

 

As far as I know, SAM foundation does not support the content service and I was unable to find any PPN at the entitlement form

What’s the benefit of adding data you can’t use? Without SAM Pro you can’t check if the PPN is already party of the content db
