Saas integration benefits

Hi All,

I am in discussion with Application owners of Cisco WebEx Meetings, Adobe Creative Cloud and DocuSign for integrating it with ServiceNow. The question which I have got is what all License metrics are covered for each publisher and what all software models will be discovered. Do anyone have any information on what type of Software models and license metrics will be discovered and how the reconciliation happens in the backend for these publishers?

A quick response would help me.

Regards,

Sumit

Sumit,

Are you still having issues?  What version are you on? Do you have SAM Pro?

If you have SAM Pro - you would set up the software models similarly to the on-prem software entitlements that we are accustom to.  The software model should have the PPN and that would pull back the data from ServiceNow Content Library including the DMAP, license metrics, etc.  When you pull in your SaaS User data over it will map to the software model thru the DMAP.  You would be able to quickly see you subscription usage and opportunities to save money thru the SaaS Overview Dashboard.

What happens if you don't a PPN? SAM Pro will still work; however the automation that the system does in seconds will remain manual which takes time to research and make the updates for each software title.

Here is an overview of the Software Asset Management features: this will help you understand how SAM is works

Here is the SaaS License Management product documentation: this drives into the different aspects of the configuration - an overview, installation & configuration, integrations, etc

If my answer helped you in any way, please then mark it as helpful.

Thanks for answering. It is helpful for me.

Thanks for answering. It is helpful for me.On a google search, I discovered https://playcasinoscanada.com/casino-bonuses/10-minimum-deposit-casinos-in-canada/ where I found 10 minimum deposit casino gaming sites in Canada. I love to play online real money games through which I can earn real money and that website helps me a lot in finding those sites.

Hi @Sumit Pandey

I would to add a few more details to Randy's answer. You asked about more details regarding discovered SaaS products and software models. The main concept of the SaaS integration is based on "Subscription identifiers" used by the SaaS providers. The integration will get all necessary information from the API and add it to the platform. If there is a match between the SaaS identifier and an entry in the table "Subscription Product Definitions [samp_sw_subscription_product-definition]", a software model will be created.

SaaS License Management uses this table to automatically create software models for SaaS and SSO applications. Software models are automatically created for applications with an External Catalog ID that matches an Identifier in this table.

When there is no match, a new entry will added to table "Unrecognized Subscription Identifiers [samp_sw_unrecognized_subscription_identifier]". This data can shared with ServiceNow using the Contenet Service (opt-in) or by ticket to get this SaaS product recognized and normalized.

List of subscription identifiers that are not associated with a software model.

Installed with SaaS License Management (servicenow.com)
