SAM Metering on Terminal Servers?

how do you guys do basic metering (last used date) of software on terminal server environments?

I checked the documentation and couldnt find any best practice.

Is this "user assist stuff" even a viable option on a terminal server?

I "bump" this, is noone doing SAM on TSE environments?
