ServiceNow SAM: Concurrent License Metric

Hello friends, 


We came across one of the engineering applications which has Concurrent License as metric.  Would like to configure the same in ServiceNow. Following the documentation, below are my questions:

1. Do we need integration with license server?

2. Do we need SAM for Engineering Application plugin installed?

 

 

Has anyone done this successfully before? Please share your thoughts? Also, if I don't have integration with License Server, can I still simulate it to demonstrate the functionality.

Thanks Maniteja, If I have to simulate this without having it integrated with License Server, how do I do it? Any idea?

ServiceNow provides visibility into Top Denied Users and License Usage Data through the Engineering Applications Dashboard. However, this functionality requires integration with the license server.

 

If these are the metrics you want to monitor in ServiceNow, integration with the license server is necessary.
