ServiceNow SAM pro - SAP Cloud ERP Private / RISE with SAP integration

Hello Community,

I hope you are doing well.


I would like to check if ServiceNow provides any out‑of‑the‑box (OOB) integration between ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) and RISE with SAP or SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP Private.

My goal is to understand:

  1. Whether ServiceNow currently supports direct/OOB data ingestion or discovery from RISE with SAP or SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP Private edition for SAM Pro use cases.
  2. If so, what data fields, APIs, or connectors are available (User data, engine metrics, system usage, digital access consumption, etc.).
  3. Whether there is a published ServiceNow roadmap or upcoming features related to SAP Cloud ERP Private / RISE with SAP integration for software asset management.

If couldn't find any OOB functionality documentation, guidance on recommended approaches would also be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tanay,

ServiceNow currently supports an OOB integration with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

In addition to retrieving basic user details like emails and last activity dates, this integration pulls assigned user roles (e.g., Self-Service, Core, Advanced). This role data is exactly what is required to accurately calculate Full Use Equivalent (FUE) licensing.

Please note the following regarding the different editions:

  • Public Edition: Fully supported via the standard OOB integration today.

  • Private Edition: There is currently no official roadmap from ServiceNow for Private Edition, though rumors suggest an integration may potentially become available around Q4 2026.

What I was referring to was only a rumor.

Hi @TanayB,

There’s no OOB direct integration specifically for RISE with SAP or SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP Private in SAM Professional / Advanced.

 

For RISE/S/4HANA Cloud Private today, the most reliable path is exporting SAP license/usage data (via SAP LAW, USMM, or S/4HANA Intelligent Asset Management exports) and ingesting it via the Software Usage Data Integration API or a scheduled Import Set. Not turnkey, but upgrade-safe and auditable.
