Hi All,
We have a query where in our instance there are multiple discovery sources and both the discovery sources are bringing in Software installations. I understand using " SAM - Deduplicate Install " scheduled job the duplicates can be remediated, as it marks one as Active install true one as Active install false.
However the duplicate record still stays in the ServiceNow instance for which the number of entries in the table keeps on increasing which may cause performance issues on the installation table . What is the best practice to handle such scenarios without impacting the performance of the Software installation table?
Thanks

It depends which Discovery Sources are bring in the duplicate software installs. Is it Discovery and SCCM?

If you delete the sw install record discovered by Tanium, does the installation get re-discovered and re-populated in cmdb_sam_sw_install?
