I am migrating licenses from a legacy ITANM system to ServiceNow SAM Pro. I have mentioned the definition of each status in legacy ITAM system and I am thinking of the most relevant and corresponding ServiceNow SAM Pro status.
I am also thinking of the most relevant status in terms of reconciliation.
Would someone please help me out here?
Legacy ITAM system status definitions :
1) Shipped – asset (license) has been created in legacy system and awaiting receipt by ITAM.
2) Received – asset (license) has been received in legacy system. Awaiting allocation/assignment
3) Operating – asset (license) has bee assigned in legacy system. Assignee name added to license.
4) Active – asset (license) has been unassigned in legacy system and therefore available, awaiting an allocation/assignment.
The mapping which I have come up with:
Legacy | ServiceNow |
Active | In Stock |
Operating | In Use |
Received | In Stock |
Shipped | On Order |
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi @iamkurt ,
nothing to add, looks good to me. Please keep in mind SAM Pro will include „in use“ and „in stock“ into the reconciliation.
