Hi all,
In a perfect world, SAM would already be part of the leaver process but until that time comes, I would like to be able to create a reclamation task for a leaver.
In Create A New Removal Candidate, there is a justification for Employee Separation.
When you select Employee Separation, the Applies To is set to Installed Software. If you try to change it anything else, it updates the Justification to Low Usage and is grayed out. I wanted to create tasks for subscriptions to assign to the app owners to remove the user from the portals.
Is there a table that is linking these two together?

Hi @oberlel,
This is expected OOTB behavior.
when Justification = Employee Separation, the reclamation process is designed for reclaiming Installed Software and the Applies To value is automatically constrained. Changing Applies To causes the justification to revert because that combination is not supported OOTB.
For SaaS subscriptions, ServiceNow recommends using:
- SaaS subscription reclamation processes
- User subscription removal workflows
- HR offboarding / Reclaim Asset processes
- Custom tasks for application owners when needed
So, there is no OOTB table mapping that allows Employee Separation + Subscription Software in the manual Removal Candidate form. The Employee Separation use case is intended for installed software reclamation, while SaaS subscription removal should be handled through subscription reclamation or offboarding workflows.
