Does anyone know how the cmdb_software_component_model table is intended to be used. The docs site just says, "... stores component model records that serves industries and use cases across different solutions on the ServiceNow Platform." However, it does not give any direction or mention to those industries or use cases. The docs site simply describes how the table is populated, and I can find nothing else.
Looking at the schema map for the table it appears to be a stand alone table that has nothing referencing it:
Since the docs page only exists for Zurich release, is this an under development feature?

Unfortunately, not very helpful.
The first and third links you provide do not discuss or reference the cmdb_software_component_model table in any way that I can see. Can you elaborate on why you think these links have some to do with the cmdb_software_component_model? What am I missing?
Your third link is the same link I used/posted in my question 3 times. 😕
The final link is somewhat helpful; Suryakiran mentions its use in relation to using DPR for developing a release. But there is not a lot of detail, or discussion in relation to SAM which is what I am after. I will reply to Suryakiran's reply in hopes they can help with the details.
