Priority, Business Impact, Urgency, and Impact under Security Incident Response (SIR) workspace

In the Security Incident Response (SIR) workspace, the Priority section includes four fields:
PriorityBusiness ImpactUrgency, and Impact.

  • Is Priority automatically calculated based on Urgency and Impact?
  • What is the difference between Impact and Business Impact?
  • Is Business Impact dependent on Priority or other fields like Risk?
  • Is there any reference document for this?

Hello Shivam,

Calculation of the key fields you highlighted (Criticality, Severity, Impact etc.) are driven via the configuration of the Security Incident Calculator Groups. If you'd like to learn more about those, you may want to consider sitting the Security Incident Response implementation course on ServiceNow University (Calculator Groups are covered in Module 2).

The "Business Impact" field indicates the importance of the Security Incident to your business, where as "Impact" is a field inherited from the Task base-class and I don't believe has any context to SIR.
