What is Response Task? What is the purpose? For each and every SIR record a response task is generated or else it's a manual process to do so? And how to create response task manually?

Hi @SRIRAMSANKAR007 ,
Please find the following serviceNow Documentations :
How to create a Response Task manually?
Response Tasks in ServiceNow Security Incident Response (SIR) are activities created to help manage and track the work required during the investigation and remediation of a security incident. They can be assigned to different teams or individuals, allowing the incident response process to be handled in a structured and coordinated way.

Is a Response Task created for every SIR automatically?
Not necessarily. A Response Task is not automatically created for every Security Incident by default. It depends on the implementation and any configured workflows, playbooks, automation, or custom logic. Response tasks can also be created manually by an analyst. ServiceNow supports different assignment methods for response tasks, including manual assignment, auto-assignment, or workflow-based assignment.
