As a fairly inexperienced developer I'm struggling with solving a reported incident with our Vulnerability Response implementation. Hopefully the community likes to support me with this.
Last January 2024 an issue was first reported with requesting an exception for a vulnerable item (VIT) in Vulnerability Response (not the application-variant). These aren't submitted frequently so I can't make up what would have triggered the problem, but in the one or two months leading up to the report we've updated the VR application and its dependencies without testing this specific functionality.
At submitting the approval request, the error message 'Please choose a valid future date in the format (dd-MM-yyyy)' appears.
Picking a date using the calendar widget or using any thinkable format doesn't stop the error from appearing. Selecting any past, nearby dates or in the far future don't make a difference either.
Users in my organization primarily have the Dutch language set, but I myself with default English experience the same and also in our sub-prod environments. There are no reports of similar symptoms in other record types or tables.
I couldn't find a bug/fix in the release notes of newer app versions and I didn't find any client scripts or UI policies that explain this behaviour or make the error disappear after deactivating them.
We're currently running Vancouver with sn_vul 20.2.4
