VR: Expiring VCA

We are having issues with Exception Requests (Vulnerability CHange Approval) expiring. We have setup out of the box approval rules with expiry set to 7 days. But the Vulnerability Change Approval were expiring prior to 7 days. Seems to be related to Scheduled job: Check Vulnerable Item and Groups Deferment Expiration.  Anyone else seeing this.

Automatic rejection can occur if no users are assigned to the approval group.
please check your approval group.

Thank you for the response. The state is not rejected but expired and the state change to expired is not right after creation. It is the following day or sometimes 2 days later.
