Zscaler Integration with Servicenow

Hi,

I am planning to integrate Security Operations with Zscaler Internet Access. In Servicenow docs it is mentioned that it requires Zscaler admin credentials (username and password) for authentication and Zscaler team is not ready to provide admin credentials due to security violation. I want clarity whether we really need Zscaler admin credentials for configuration with servicenow?.Can't we do it without admin credentials?.  what type of access and privileges do we need other than admin credentials. please advise

HI,

We did this integration recently and to be honest we didnot face this issue. Because the way the allow list and block list is managed needs some permissions on zscaler side to manage this. Also the API permissions are important in this case.

The integration in itself works like a charm.

Thank You,
Ashutosh

Hi @Ashutosh Munot , Thanks for the response.

still I am unclear about the admin access.

1.Does it requires Zscaler admin credentials (username and password) for authentication.

2.Is this mandatory to have the admin credentials to fetch allow list and block list on Zscaler end.

3.Is this same applies for the API?
