SG-SCCM in co-habitation with Intune to feed information in our CMDB

Hi,

we have implemented our CMDB and Discovery.

Currently, the business uses InTune to allocate personnal computers.

That is working quite well in terms of hardware allocation however, there are considerable information missing as InTune does not feed all the software installation information as we'd like it to do.

Hence, we are trying to integrate our solution with SG-SCCM to provide information onto software allocations.

Both products seem to do a great job separately both aving their strengths.

That said, when we enabled SG-SCCM, some information was flip-floping on a number of elements. For example, the assigned_to from InTune for a given laptop seemed to differ with the assigned_to from SCCM. So we figured, ok, lets not let SCCM discover laptops and use it only for software.

The issue now is, if discovery source is not SCCM, SCCM will not even look at collecting software information for that resource.

I thought we could whip up a couple IRE's to work around this but we were told by ServiceNow support that this would entail much more than this in terms of customization.

So, I was wondering if anyone in the community ever seen this use case and found ways to circomvent the issue.

Please let me know if you have seen this or need further information.

Kindly, Daniel.
