If I add Configuration Item to the All Incidents list view and do a lookup, it only shows items with the class of Computer. If I am in an incident, the lookup shows alls classes.
I don't know where the filter on the list view is coming from. Is there a way to change that?

Sorry Chuck — I guess I'm not being clear. We have a reference qualifier on the CI field for Incidents. It limits the list to shows CI's where Class=Computer or where Selectable on Incident=True. This works correctly when you have an incident form open. However when I am at the list view for incidents and try to change the CI on an incident, I only see Computer CI's. It does not display the ones where Selectable on Incident=True. I don't want to do an override because then it would shows all CI's on the form. I just want the CI lookup on the list view to display the same records that display when I am in an Incident record.

Hi Sharon,
Thanks for the update. Can you explain what "selectable on Incident=true" means? I'm not familiar with that.

It's a custom Boolean field that they added to the cmdb_ci table to use with the reference qualifier so that they control what ci's display on an incident.

Interesting... I haven't heard of reference qualifiers behaving different via the list or form. Is there any evidence of errors or warnings in the system logs?

No errors that I see. But in our development instance, I did try the override and saw that it also affected the CI lookup from the form as well so I deleted it. Now when I go back there and do the lookup from the list, it's matching what it is from the form. I'll have to clone back over development and test that again. I can't do that at the moment but I'll update this when I have had a chance to test it again. Thanks for all your help.
