Configuration Item lookup on Incident List View

If I add Configuration Item to the All Incidents list view and do a lookup, it only shows items with the class of Computer. If I am in an incident, the lookup shows alls classes.
I don't know where the filter on the list view is coming from. Is there a way to change that?

I probably should have provided more information on why we were looking into this. Someone deleted a configuration item that had been used on some incidents so those incidents now have a null value for CI. We restored the deleted item but it did not restore the CI on the incident records.
We were going to use the list edit to do a group edit of those incidents but I don't see the CI that we want to use from the list view. If there's a better way to update these records, please let me know.
