Developer Instance Gone

I have had a Personal Developer Instance (PDI) for over a year and I update regularly, at least every week. I went to login today to do some updates and instead I was presented with a 'Request an Instance' screen. I checked my emails in case I might have missed some notification, but the last I received was for the update to San Diego Patch 9a, which was successfully completed on 02.19.23.

 

Does anyone have any ideas as to why my PDI is gone? Is this temporary, due to some sort of maintenance? Any info or advice would be appreciated. I'm not sure if I need to request a new instance, or just wait for my existing instance to be available again?

UPDATE
I was able to request and receive a new PDI. I'm not sure why the previous one was removed without any notification or communication, but at least I am able to start over with one.

Hi @AjD1 ,

 

sorry to hear about your experience - have never myself experienced anything according to what you are telling.

 

Unfortunately as you might know, there is no support for PDIs. If I was you, I would check once again tomorrow if it’s available or not. If it’s not available, I would request a new instance. Please also notice, that due to many request for PDIs at current moment, there will be some waitlist to get a PDI.

My instance of 5 years disappeared couple week back with out any notice, even though I was logging every week without fail. I had so much work done in it. My mistake was I did not backed it up 😞

Thanks for the advice Anders. I will wait and see if it shows up tomorrow. In the past, if I haven't worked on the PDI for several days, I have received an email from ServiceNow warning me that my instance could be removed. However, this time I did not receive any email and I was just working on the instance last Sunday.

 

Hopefully tomorrow it will show up.

Hello @AjD1 ,

Same happened to me, even the instance was being used last Friday, and today it's gone, so I would say there was an issue or something weird happened and instances have been massively lost.
