hi,
You can do this by right Click on the Incident List View on the header and then select List Layout as shown below:
Post click on List layout add the change Request field you want as shown below:
Below is the Result for the same.

Hi,
As per my understanding, To Personalize the list using Gear icon as highlighted in your screen shot also only those fields can be added to the list view which are there on the Incident Table itself i.e. you cannot dot walkin to get the Referenced Table fields(like in your case change_request.state) using the Gear Icon.
If you need to add the reference field of Change Request on the Incident form list layout, you need to follow the approach as mentioned above in the thread i.e. by using List Layout from the Header of the Incident list view as shown above.

HI,
Does anyone know why this has been put in place...? I.e. restricting dot walking to list-layout only?
Is this likely to be a ACL or performance issue perhaps?
