What is the expected downtime that customers should anticipate during an upgrade?

We recently upgraded to DC release, it was down for 5-7 mins max.

Hi @mariemq,

 

There should be no-downtime associated to an upgrade, however this is dependent on your implementation and configuration of ServiceNow, and what customizations have been made.

Integrations could be affected and are a good example of where there could impact the service, however with the correct planning (prerequisite to any upgrade), these messages can be queued and changes managed appropriately.

 

Please note - you can verify this when testing and upgrading on your lower environments. (However

 

Even on a heavily customized instance running public and external CSM portals, it is possible to upgrade and have zero downtime associated to these services.
