Edit related list list view

Hi Experts,

I'm trying to edit the list of a related list on the Change request form. However when I try the conventional way (right click>configure>list layout) when I change the fields and save the fields revert to what they were previous. 

Is this linked to the view of the main form? If so, how can I change it?

Change request and task assessment related list

Hi,

is this is the related list that you are referring.

If yes then what fields you are trying to add if you are adding Task which is your change which is displaying currently. 

You can not see that parent record field(Task) on related list which is expected.

After making changes to the list layout, in the personalized list columns we have to click on Reset to column defaults.
