Hi,
Points to check
1) is that user seeing same view as admin
2) does that user have read access to that Parent field via field level READ ACL

Hi,
I am referring to the Parent field.
Did you enable debug ACLs and check which ACL is blocking that.
that would help you add the required role to that ACL
