Having authors/revisers that are not in the ownership group of a knowledge article

I am new to ServiceNow and trying to get our Knowledge Management set up.  We want a workflow where the author or reviser can update the article, but the publish would be done by the ownership group / knowledge managers and the approval would be by the knowledge managers.  If we do the following option, does that mean that the author/reviser can update the article as necessary, but they will not have the ability to publish or approve articles?  "If an ownership group is associated with a knowledge article, the author or reviser of the article can't contribute to the article after the article is published. You can override this behavior by enabling the glide.knowman.ownership_group.override property. When the property is set to true, the authors or revisers of knowledge articles associated with ownership groups retain contribute access to their published articles. By default, the property is set to false."
