How to modify group type on a group for assignment group

I'm trying to update the group type on two groups we are using only for permissions so they won't show up on the Assignment Group drop down.  I found this link: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/sandiego-platform-administration/page/administer/users-and-groups...

but I am clicking into the group but aren't seeing anything with type or a lock next to it. I added "type" on the group list page, but it won't let me edit it.

Any help on this?

Bharris-

If you go into the form view of the group, add Type like I did here. This is where you can modify the type. Unfortunately you cannot edit list collector fields from a list view:

We understood your response. Could you please confirm once that do I need to change the COE security policy of that group after changing the type of the group ?

I don't have that option.

EDIT: I had to add it to the form.  Is it supposed to be there by default?  If so, I wonder why it was missing.

Not there by default so you have to add it manually. Hope all is good now.
