Should favicon size be 16x16 or 32x32?

Hi, 

When uploading a favicon (this little image shown on browser tab) 

Should uploaded favicon be 16x16 or 32x32 px or something else? Or does it matter at all what size image you upload -> ServiceNow automatically scales it to correct?

Was bit surprised in favicon documentation wasn't anything about this!

Tested this. Seems like it does not matter what size image you upload, ServiceNow will scales it to correct. Image ratio must be 1:1 or it does not work. 

Some documentation would still be nice about this. If anyone has it, please attach link here.
