Is there any way to turn off the deletion that automatically occurs when ServiceNow processes an email? It seems pretty silly the way it works. I can kind of understand why it happens, but at the same time why does it have to delete it, and not just move it to a separate folder? On the documentation it says "by default" it is deleted, which makes me think their is a way to turn it off?
The System Mailbox is hosted by ServiceNow, who have sole access to the mailboxes. By default, once the ServiceNow application has pulled an email message, it will be deleted from the mail server and stored in the application on the sys_email table.

Hi Evan,
This thread may be useful for you:
Re: How to stop SN from deleting emails from mailbox?
I know that is not a direct response to your question, but it may give you some solution options.
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks Steve but this doesn't seem to answer my question. I need to keep the email, and I'm honestly not 100% sure what Pradeep was trying to explain with his second potential resolution.

Hey guys,
I had a similar problem here and found an alternative that will depend on the type of email connection being made and which server this service is on.
In cases of SMTP/POP connection with Microsoft and Gmail boxes, it is possible to configure so that deletion commands are not executed on your box. In the case of Microsoft, emails copied by the service are automatically sent to a POP folder when deletion is off.
I don't know if this is the case with the first post, but the answer may be in the original email service, not in Servicenow.
Thanks!
good SN journey to everyone!
