Hi, after finding the following post: Sidebar Chat Generator - Share | ServiceNow Developers I have implemented this into a PDI to investigate, however I am coming across a few issues:
- The discussion is created and gets posted to the activity section in the record view in SoW (with the correct members, records, etc.)
- The discussion is incrementing the sidebar counter in the banner in the top right
- The discussion is not appearing in the All, Unread or This record tab of the sidebar discussions menu
When I create a new discussion manually it triggers everything correctly and appears in the relevant tabs, so is there a record missing or is someone aware of what controls discussions appearing in the menu?
If I click 'open discussion' from the activity section and add a comment then the discussion will, from then on, appear in the menu. Any suggestions would be great as I appear to have hit a dead end. I can generate a discussion via a script and add all the content I desire, but as it doesn't appear in the sidebar discussions menu it doesn't fit the purpose of notifying agents.
