For SM v2 store app customers · All environments, incl. on-prem and regulated

Early look: This is a forward-looking preview. Features and timing are planned and may change. *See the safe harbor notice at the end of this article.
Understanding what you own and use has meant working across subscriptions, meters, and contract dates that didn't always line up. Subscription Management 8.0 is designed to bring it all together, so you can work from a single source of truth.
THE BIG IDEA
One place. One set of numbers. One source of truth.
ONE
view for subscriptions, usage, and contract dates
ZERO
setup for per-user allocation
NEW
per-user consumption view
AUTO
mapping for custom tables and apps
01
AUTOMATION
Licensing that runs itself
Every user is assigned to their best-fit per-user subscription automatically, with no setup, and stays current as roles change. Users already covered by Unrestricted User or other non-role-based subscriptions aren't allocated twice, and where pricing data exists, the lowest-cost qualifying subscription fills first.
Custom tables, mapped for you. Unmapped custom tables and apps go to the best-fit subscription, every table in a custom app is mapped the same way, and you can see how each mapping was made. CSM customers can extend the case table as often as needed without using custom table allocations.
02
ACCURACY
Usage numbers aligned to your contract
Usage is calculated the same way every time and anchors to a single account measurement date, no matter how many contracts you have. Instances retired mid-period still count toward that measurement period for Now Assist and Cloud Capacity, and entitlements that share a definition are combined or kept separate based on how each product is sold.
03
VISIBILITY
See how every number adds up
A new consumption view in the Subscription Management Overview shows per-user consumption you can understand, verify, and audit, with details on exactly how each value was reached. Thresholds you set now cover account entitlements (Cloud Capacity and Assist consumption) too, so warnings are consistent everywhere.
04
RELIABILITY
Always current, at any scale
Entitlements sync quickly and stay up to date, even for the largest accounts.
Heads up: Subscription Management v2 is the supported app, and v1 is deprecated. If you're still on v1, now's the time to plan your move.
STAY TUNED
We'll share updates on the hub as release nears
