Appointment Booking - blocking off time

We have appointment booking set up where we have 3 hours of time slots a day our customers can go in and request an appointment.
Is there a quick and easy way to block off time? Let's say it's Monday and we know on Friday we have a company meeting for 2 hours during our regular time frame that customers could book an appointment. How can we proactively go in and make sure customers can't select those time slots on Friday?

Hi Aaron,
Where are you trying to implement this? In a catalog item with date and slot as variables?
And where are you defining the rules? For example you said friday is a meeting. How do system know there is meeting on friday. Are you getting that data from any table.

What I did today for a similar requirement is that I added the blocked period as a Schedule Entry to the Holiday Schedule that I created specifically for the Appointment Booking Service Configuration.
I needed to block 2 weeks of time, so I went with full day, but you could go more granular.
