Hi Guys,
I need your help.
Could you tell me if the use of inbound actions to approve only via e-mail needs approval licenses?
In this scenario, users are in sys_user table, but not has any kind of license.
Regards

Hi @Douglas Sousa1 ,
First to answer your question it's Yes servicenow does charge for those approvals as well which are done via email no matter whether the user has the specified role or not.
This I have faced in my current engagement where the approver_user role was only granted to some 20+ people but when the licensing output came it was showing as 100+. After investigation we found out there were certain users who were added as an approver & they were approving or rejecting a particular request via mail.
So even though we did not assign any role from our end but still service now was charging us for it as they were added as an approver.
Thanks,
Danish

The answer is Yes, SN charges for license in this case. Still I recommend, connect with SN support sales team and get it clarified.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.
