Hello, Are requestor roles not charged by ServiceNow?
Ex - below role is marked as Requestor role. If this give ONLY this role to the user, ServiceNow will not charge?

Hi, normally I would not expect a requester to incur a licensing cost, but SNC licensing charges are defined in your organizations ServiceNow contract, meaning that there is no clear-cut definition and only ServiceNow/your ServiceNow Account manager can confirm your entitlement. Licensing charges may also be application or plugin specific.

I agree with @Tony Chatfield1 that requestors don't normally require a subscription, but with any subscription based question you should check with your ServiceNow account team to ensure everything is aligned.
Also, on't confused the role type in subscription management with ServiceNow roles. Generally you would not grant a role to a requestor. If you are granting a role to a user, then I would worry a subscription is required. But it may depend on which role you are considering.

Hi @Jeff Currier Couple of years back one of my colleague told about the 3 types of roles - Requestor, Approver, Fulfiller and told that any user who has "those roles" marked as Requestor in subscription roles does not incur license.
Hence posted this question.
Also this question was for my information only. Hence did not want to contact account rep and just posted here 🙂

I think there is just a subtle difference in words used here as a "role" is something that can be assigned to a group or user in ServiceNow. Requestor, Approver and Fulfiller are user types. While ServiceNow include an approver role, there is no out of the box role called Requestor or Fulfiller. The Fulfiller user type may have different roles assigned to them they typically require subscriptions. As you say, the requestor type typically doesn't require a subscription. Typically a request would have no role assigned, so they are not "marked" as requestor, they just don't have any explicit rights beyond that of a requestor. In some organizations an snc_external or snc_internal role is assigned and someone with either of those can be any of these user types, but a requestor would typically not have any other roles. The approver type would require a subscription and this has been replaced by the Business Stakeholder subscription.
