Can I restore a backup of one instance to another?

Probably silly question, but we have cloned a heavily changed Dev environment over to Live. All is great, but we would like to now bring online a backup of the old Live into the Dev instance.

Has anyone done this and is there any things we need to look out for?

Hi Dave, sure. It can be done as long as the backup is still available. Just contact Hi support. They should be able to help you out with this.

Hi Dave

You'd need to open an HI (High Incident) ticket with ServiceNow and explain in detail what happened and what you'd like to have happen. ServiceNow makes backups of our instances at various points you'd need to get with them to rollback your development instance. The sooner this is done the better...as they only keep a week worth of backups before the last one falls off each day.

Side note: they don't work anything lower than a P2 on the weekend.
